The Kindersley Storm FC will be hosting The Kindersley Storm FC Storm Classic the evening of June 25th 2011.  This is an evening of soccer til the early morning with teams around the Province coming together to play Soccer under the lights at Rotary Pitch.  Come out and enjoy the festivities and excitement. At the 2010 Saskatchewan Soccer Association (Sask Soccer) Annual General Meeting in Humboldt, the Sask Soccer Technical Department took great pleasure in announcing the first Rural Soccer Festival, which will take place over the weekend of June 11th and 12th, 2011 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. The Festival will provide developmental opportunities for players, coaches and officials, as well as a chance to meet and interact with other members from across the province in a fun and challenging environment.

Open to Under 14 through Under 18 male and female players (born 1998-1993), the weekend will begin on Saturday morning with Sask Soccer Instructors and Provincial Teams Program Coaches delivering position specific player clinics focused on attacking play, defending play and goalkeeping, along with coach and referee education sessions. Players and coaches will then be assigned to teams and given the opportunity to train in preparation for the Mini World Cup-style tournament taking place on Sunday, June 12th. Sask Soccer Instructors will once again assist the coaches in their sessions and provide another referee education session. Following the on-field program, the Humboldt and District Soccer Association will be hosting a supper and social for participants and parents. Supper will be include in the registration fee for players and officials and will be provided free of charge to participating coaches. Others attending the festival are welcome to attend for a nominal fee. For a complete schedule, please refer to the attached promotional poster.

KMSA is pleased to announce the winner of the 2008/2009 High School Scholarship.  The Scholarship is given out annually to an individual who through sport and in particular soccer has shown dedication to the sport, sportsmanship and a sense of fair play with a positive attitude.  This years receipient has been involved in soccer for many years playing in the Recreation League in Kindersley and in 2007 decided to play on the Kindersley Storm Rep Team and has recently received his Canadian Soccer Association Coaching Certification.  Congratulations go out to Levi Sawchuck
